Cottage Grove Hockey Association (CGHA) in alignment with District 8, Minnesota Hockey, & USA Hockey follows the ADM™ model for on-ice development.  Utilizing level specific modules from ADM, coaches specific on-ice training (3-times a year), coaches plans (via Coach Them App), and our Hockey Committee lead by our on-staff Hockey Director CGHA has a comprehensive plan to teach our players on-ice.  These tools allow us to update and have a fluid training system to adjust to the ever-changing pace of the game.  We are excited for another year and on-ice player development.

What is the American Development Model?

The American Development Model is a nationwide model for successfully developing American hockey players. It is a tool that will ensure every kid will have a great chance to succeed.
 
By implementing USA Hockey's ADM, associations will deliver more efficient skill development, will produce more skilled players and experience an increase in player retention. The ADM is a nationwide blueprint designed specifically to help kids reach their full potential.
