Player(s) & Coach(s):

  • Team(s):  No team practices, indoor or outdoor ice, or team activities of any kind during this time.  The December 18th date may be extended, but it is the date we have right now and will plan for a return to play at that time unless we are told otherwise.  This restriction also prohibits any type of play (practice, scrimmages, games and tournaments) outside of Minnesota in bordering states.
  • Ice Hours:  Upon return to play we will pick back up with current day and ice schedules (i.e. we start on December 19, 2020 with the currently published schedules). Ice affected during this period will either be re-scheduled later in the season if MN Hockey extends the season and/or be a part of a refund if appropriate.  Note: This will be done across the board and not on an individual team by team basis.
  • League Game(s):  Currently during four (4) week “pause” District 8 has a total of 435 league games affected.  D8 & MN Hockey is determining a plan on how to make up these games and a contingency process if games are not able to be made up.  Note:  NO game change forms are needed to be filed during this “Pause”
  • Tournament(s):  Any and all tournaments taking place during the “Pause” will be reevaluated upon return.  Tournaments may be canceled, postponed, and or rescheduled to a later date.  We are still awaiting guidance from MN Hockey in the coming weeks around this.  In the event team “losses out” on a tournament this will be factored in as part of a possible refund.
  • Equipment: All currently issued gear may be used upon the resume of hockey.  However we must suspend any gear swaps (i.e. size change) until further notice.
  • Goalie Clinic: Due to the changing requirements and challenges faced by COVID-19 we are suspending all goalie clinics until further notice.
