Volunteer Policy

CGHA is a non-profit organization and relies on its members to volunteer time to support various tournaments and events.  

All CGHA members - Mini Mite/8U up to and including Jr. Gold levels - will be required to volunteer for the season. Hours could range from a minimum of 3 hours to as many as 10 hours. 

The association’s volunteer needs will vary from season to season. Prior season requirements can be a good indication, but may not be exactly the same going forward. The CGHA Board will finalize and publish the required number of volunteer hours for the coming season on or before November 1st. 

  • Opt Out - you may choose to opt out of volunteering by paying a fee of $300.00 at the time of registration.
  • Any family that has not fulfilled the required volunteer hours, and did not choose to Opt Out, will be charged a $350.00 penalty on April 1st. This will be automatically charged to the credit card used to register your player(s). If the charge does not go through, arrangements must be made as soon as possible with the CGHA Budget Director.

Note: Your player will not be allowed to register for the next season unless the volunteer commitment has been fulfilled, or penalty fee payment is in good standing.
