Hockey Education Program Debuts in 2004-05Hockey Education ProgramIn the coming season Minnesota Hockey's new Hockey Education Program (HEP) will focus on skill development, education and accountability. Some examples of HEP initiatives are: Skill Development - look for standardized testing of players to measure improvement during the season Education - coaches and parents will receive education aimed at improving player self-esteem, eliminating sports anxiety and reducing player attrition Accountability - HEP will reward sportsmanship and penalize misconduct. Teams can earn a Fair Play point in each league game. Fair Play points will count toward final league standings. A Fair Play point is not earned if a team has too many penalty minutes or a player, coach or fan is ejected. | ![]() |
